I was born and raised in the Baltimore area. My family introduced me to boating on the Chesapeake Bay when I was 11 years old. This event changed my life. I immediately loved the water, boats and boating. All of my spare time was spent around boats and marinas. My curiosity propelled me to become what I refer to as a "student of boats".As a youngster, the first boat of my own was a 7-foot "SportYak" with a sturdy pair of wooden oars. I quickly "moved up" to a 12 foot aluminum rowboat with a 3 HP outboard. Then at age 18 I purchased my first "big" boat, a 30 foot wooden 1963 Pacemaker cruiser. I was hooked for life!After a successful 18 year career as the owner of an Interior Design related business, I decided to pursue a career that followed my passion. With no previous yacht sales experience I started Bayport Yachts in December 1989. Now, after more than 25 years of selling boats and tons of transactions with happy customers, I can truly say that I still love what I do and look forward to coming to work (almost) every day! It's really easy to be good at something that you love.

I have been assisting buyers and sellers with the purchase and sale ofnew and brokerage boats since 1993! 30+ years with no complaints!My passion for boating and all things relating to that developed whilegrowing up and living on the West River near Annapolis. Besides theChesapeake Bay, I have cruised the waters of the East Coast from NovaScotia to the Bahamas. Having owned more than a dozen boats, bothwood and fiberglass, I am very familiar with all traditional and modernconstruction methods.In 1993 I joined the Mid-Atlantic Hatteras & Viking dealer in Annapolisand ultimately managed the Annapolis location until 2008. At that time,I was invited to join a very seasoned group of brokers at Luke BrownYachts in Ft. Lauderdale, and I still maintain a close relationship withthem to this day. In 2016 I decided that having a base of operation closerto home on the West River would be a wise change. Consequently, I wasinvited by Eric Horst, the owner of Bayport Yacht Sales, to join hisoperation. I took him up on his offer and haven’t looked back!My many years of new yacht sales and new build construction, and all ofthe associated brokerage experiences, have given me a broad range ofproduct knowledge. This includes most everything from large Yachts,Sport Fisherman, Custom Boats and Trawlers. I have been involved inthe purchase and sale of a varied collection of boats and yachtsincluding; Center Consoles, Custom Carolina Sport Fish boats, severalPacific Mariner 65s, a new one-off Custom cold-molded 70’Sportfisherman, a Cheoy Lee 80’ Motor Yacht, and a Westport 130.I have been, licensed and bonded as a yacht broker and salesman in bothMaryland and Florida since 1993.
