1958 Broward Classic Motor Yacht

Frank Denison, the founder of Broward Marine, Inc. started his yachting career in Benton Harbor, Michigan by buying boats on spec, and reselling them. In 1948 he purchased the Fort Lauderdale shipyard, then known as Dooley's Dry Dock, and renamed the yard, Broward Marine. It did not take Broward long to develop a reputation for quality and value, building some of the finest yachts for the world's premiere yachtsmen. "Miss Mimi" was originally built as "Jonathan III" in 1958 for Harry Blum, the founder of Jim Beam Distilleries.

"Miss Mimi" is now priced to sell. In fact, $299,900. is a mere fraction of the true physical and historical value of this significant piece of American Yacht Building history. This token asking price is viewed by the seller as only an initial commitment from her new steward, to see that "Miss Mimi" receives the care and attention that she is rightly due, going forward.

Accommodations
Three double staterooms with ensuite heads/showers accommodate six owners and guests. Crew quarters are forward with crew lounge, a bunkroom contains four single berths all the way forward with head and enclosed shower. The Captain's cabin sleeps two in a double berth, with head & sink.

This classic Broward features a curved transom. Her large curved aft deck has plenty of built-in seating plus a dining table and 4 chairs. Spacious saloon has a leather sofa to port, 2 chairs and flat screen TV built in opposite. Stairway aft and starboard in salon leads below to owners and guests staterooms.

Forward of the saloon is a small bar area with refrigeration and built in storage. Next forward is the dining saloon with a beautiful mahogany table and 6 chairs. There is a built in china cabinet with fitted storage for dinnerware and glassware.

Master Stateroom has Twin berths with chest of drawers in between, plenty of drawer and hanging closet space. En suite mirrored head and shower.

Two guest staterooms each have twin lower berths with drawer chest in between and storage drawers below beds. En suite heads & showers.

Remarks
"Miss Mimi" has enjoyed the benefit of much upgrading in recent years. It is reported that in or around year 2000 she received a major structural and mechanical refit with included some major hull work to include refastening, all new teak decks, and engine work to include all new exhaust plumbing. There is a photo album aboard that chronicles this work. You will want to view this album as well as the April 2007 insurance survey report when you come to inspect "Miss Mimi".
