The 255 LXF Scout's unique shape is familiar throughout the Scout line.  It's the "Scout Look", and is a reflection of the strength and fishability of the brand's Carolina genes!

The 255 LXF features a Strata-Mount transom system incorporating an integrated transom bracket designed so that hull stringers pass through it to the engine mounts. The result is a rigid relationship between hull and the Yamaha 300 horsepower engine that fosters stability and speed. Scout uses a NuV3 hull design that involves increasing deadrise to enhance the soft ride, stability and speed.

The "Scout Look" is complemented by a tumblehome at the transom and "speed" fins at the waterline that wrap around the transom platform. Scout's patented windshield is integrated structurally in the hardtop supports and creates more of the "Scout Look" that makes Scout owners loyal to the brand.

The 255 LXF's approach to fishing is by packaging a high-volume livewell, premium quality rod holders, and luxury seating where the Captain & Mate can ride in plush dual bucket seats when the bolsters are down , or stand-up control when bolsters are up, and all traveling on a wave-slicing platform with Carolina flare and a safe, comfortable ride.

The livewell is deep and easy to access next to the foldaway transom seat. The tackle center has a dual secretary desk-style rigging station that folds out of the leaning post, revealing a wide work area with ample tackle storage inside. Four rocket launchers/rod holders are located on the top of the leaning post, and a large cooler can be stored below.
