Overview A stylish boat in her day with a rakish bridge and canted windows,the Bayliner 3988 is a value-priced family cruiser with roomy accommodations and a long list of standard equipment. She?s built on a shallow-deadrise modified-V hull with moderate beam and prop pockets to reduce shaft angles. Inside, the two stateroom, two-head floorplan is arranged with an island bed forward and a double berth in the small second stateroom that extends below the elevated dinette in the salon. The master head is fitted with a bathtub that provides sitting headroom only since it's located beneath the lower helm station. Large salon windows make the interior seem spacious and completely wide open. Additional features include a stylish integral swim platform with shower and transom door, port and starboard cockpit steps, wide side decks, and a comfortable flybridge with seating for six. "Paycheck" was delivered with twin Cummins diesels 250 horsepower. which will cruise at 20 knots (about 24 knots top).
Descriptions Accommodations"Paycheck" has 2 double berth staterooms and two ensuite heads. The master stateroom is forward with a centerline berth. The master head has a spacious tub/shower compartment. The guest stateroom is below the dinette with a double berth and a separate head. The main level includes a lower helm. The galley is aft of the lower helm and to stbd equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, 3 burner electric range/oven, microwave, stainless steel sink and a built-in NuTone blender. An "L" shaped dinette is to port across from the galley. Salon area has an "L" shaped settee to port and a chair to stbd.

Broker's Comments "Paycheck" is a low hour diesel powered boat that is bargain priced to reflect her cosmetic condition. The exterior needs a good compound and wax. The flybridge upholstery needs to be replaced. With a previous owner, this boat suffered some vandalism damage to the interior and the electronics were stolen. The interior damage to the salon was to soft goods and has mostly been repaired and items replaced. The artwork mural panels were produced and installed to conceal tears to the vinyl bulkheads. Salon headliner was replaced and the settee upholstery was replaced. Previous electronics were dated and have not been replaced except for a VHF radio which is on the flybridge.
