Overview Frank Denison, the founder of Broward Marine, Inc. started his yachting career in Benton Harbor, Michigan by buying boats on spec, and reselling them. In 1948 he purchased the Fort Lauderdale shipyard, then known as Dooley's Dry Dock, and renamed the yard, Broward Marine. It did not take Broward long to develop a reputation for quality and value, building some of the finest yachts for the world's premiere yachtsmen. "Miss Mimi" was originally built as "Jonathan III" in 1958 for Harry Blum, the founder of Jim Beam Distilleries."Miss Mimi" is now priced to sell. In fact, $299,900. is a mere fraction of the true physical and historical value of this significant piece of American Yacht Building history. This token asking price is viewed by the seller as only an initial commitment from her new steward, to see that "Miss Mimi" receives the care and attention that she is rightly due, going forward.
